Posted on August 10, 2023August 23, 2023 By Editor

This isn’t about jumping on a bandwagon or trying to get rich quick. It’s about doing things where you use blockchain and the crypto benefits in ways that people haven’t thought of yet. And in this case, very much led by Björk and her team’s creative vision for what this technology can do.

Study reveals truck drivers who listen to rock and metal have more sex | Louder

Posted on December 18, 2022September 18, 2023 By Editor

The study reads: “These findings discredit the stereotype of truck drivers loving country. After all, trucks are great vehicles for just about anyone! But what do most truck drivers have in common? And do any of their experiences align with their favourite type of music?”Despite country music having the most truck-related songs of any genre, it sat toward the bottom of truck owners’ genre preferences — just 27.7 per cent said it was their favorite. Instead, an overwhelming percentage of truck owners (47.1 percent) said they prefer classic rock. Other favourites were alternative (41.6 percent), blues (41.2 percent), and hip-hop (40.7 percent).”

The Cult’s Ian Astbury says no recent rock album comes close to the “essential” new album from… The Cult: “It’s a gift” | Louder

Posted on October 31, 2022 By webcatt_admin

It’s a cult. The Cult. The 2022 album. Must have a listen.

“If you’re a fan of rock music, our new record’s essential,” the singer stated boldly, modesty be damned. “I don’t think there’s any recent releases of rock music that comes close to Under The Midnight Sun. And to say that, it may sound like an arrogant statement, but I’m tired of this bullshit. Stop it. Stop phoning it in. Stop exploiting your fans. Stop patronising your fans. And stop calling them fans. They’re your benefactors. Our audience are our benefactors.”

Bob Dylan Re-Records “Blowin’ in the Wind” for Christie’s Auction

Posted on May 25, 2022 By webcatt_admin

The one-of-a-kind disc will be auctioned by Christie’s in London on July 7. The recording will go for an estimated bidding price of £600,000-1,000,000.

The new rendition of “Blowin’ in the Wind” marks the first time Dylan has recorded the song since tracking the original 60 years ago. The Bard cut the new version last year with Burnett, who produced the single. Only one copy of this new recording of “Blowin’ in the Wind” will be offered as an Ionic Original disc.

The one-of-a-kind version of Dylan’s ’60s classic is the first official Ionic Original—a new analog format developed by T Bone Burnett

Nick Cave’s son Jethro Lazenby dies aged 31 | Metro News

Posted on May 9, 2022 By webcatt_admin

Something not quite right at Nick Cave’s house. Two dead sons.

Two years after the death of his son, Cave reflected on his death, telling The Guardian: ‘It’s hard to know what to say that is helpful. People often say they can’t imagine how it would feel to lose a child, but, actually, they can – they can imagine what it is like.

‘A lot is said about grief, especially the conventional wisdom that you do it alone. I personally have found that not to be the case. The goodwill we received after Arthur’s death from people who I did not know, especially through social media, people who liked my music and kind of reached out, was extraordinary.’

Live streaming’s second growth phase | Music Industry Blog

Posted on October 13, 2021 By webcatt_admin

2021 will go down as the year of adjustment for live streaming, following a year of exceptional circumstances in 2020. COVID catalysed secular growth but boosted figures higher than the natural level of the market at this early stage. The coming years will be characterised by steady continued growth, with hybrid and ‘pandemic proof’ solutions for venues, such as Live Nation fitting 60+ venues with Veeps capabilities. The live music sector did not experience the dramatic transformation wrought by streaming. Instead, the sector had to wait for the pandemic’s impact and the resultant COVID bounce for live streaming. Expect more investments and more consolidation as this market begins to set itself up for long-term, organic growth.
