As a duo, Twisted Pair came together an played shows and recorded over 40 years ago. The bass player taught the drummer how to play guitar and the guitar player learned to write songs that the bass player played.
The singer plays guitar and writes the songs. The bass player holds down the beat and the rhythm. Neither knew any of the rules for playing in a band so they made them up.
All in all a very good project. The dual sound of bass and guitar is full-bodied, rich, powerful when it has to be but also soft and melodic.
The name comes from the cable that runs into your house and sprays atoms all through your walls until you can’t sleep at night. The constant drone of bits running through the wires won’t get out of your head. That’s how twisted it has become. One word: microwave.
